Votiva Treatment in Dallas, TX

As a result of childbirth, aging, or heredity, the labial skin around a woman’s vaginal opening may begin to sag. Her vaginal opening and canal may also widen, and the tissue may become lax. These changes can affect a woman’s comfort, confidence in her appearance, and ability to enjoy intimacy. These changes may also lead to decreased sexual function, urinary incontinence, and vaginal dryness, causing painful intercourse.

If you are dissatisfied with the appearance or function of your vagina and pelvic floor, you could benefit from Votiva Vaginal Rejuvenation. Board-certified gynecologic surgeon Dr. Wesley Anne Brady and her team at the Women’s Wellness Institute of Dallas provide this advanced, non-surgical treatment to improve your vaginal health in Dallas, Texas.

What Is Votiva?

Votiva uses the latest heat and radiofrequency technology to improve women’s lives through vaginal health and sexual wellness.

Votiva is a non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation platform that uses BIPOLAR radio frequency energy to allow more heat energy to be absorbed by a woman’s vaginal tissues.

Since Votiva uses bipolar radiofrequency instead of unipolar radiofrequency like other competitors, it produces faster and better results. In addition, Votiva eliminates the need for vaginal tightening surgery for women with mild to moderate vaginal laxity.

Get a Tighter Vagina and a Younger Appearance Without Surgery

Votiva delivers radiofrequency (RF) energy through a thin and flexible medical applicator. The energy gently heats the tissue and encourages the development of collagen. Over time, treated tissue takes on a firmer, plumper, and more elastic quality.

  • Very safe, well-established, and non-invasive. Patients can typically return to their normal activities immediately after their visit to Women’s Wellness Institute of Dallas.
  • Fast and easy. Each Votiva session will take about 30 minutes. Most patients say that the experience doesn’t hurt at all and feels more like a hot stone massage than a medical treatment.
  • Low commitment. Both RealSelf and our internal statistics show that approximately 92% of our patients are happy with their results. Since there will be no recovery or pain following the visit, there’s limited downside to getting Votiva.

The ideal protocol includes three Votiva treatments, each spaced four to six weeks apart. Most women will see the maximum improvement three months after their final session. The benefits of Votiva will last about twelve months, and patients will typically return once a year for a single treatment to maintain their results.

What Are the Benefits of Votiva?

Votiva has a number of benefits for women who desire non-invasive vaginal rejuvenation. These include:

  • Tighter, more compact, youthful appearance of the labia and vagina
  • Increased sensation during sex
  • Prevention of bladder leakage and overactive bladder
  • Improved G-spot sensitivity and sexual function
  • Decreased vaginal dryness causing painful intercourse

How Can Votiva Improve Sexual Experience?

Vaginal laxity can cause reduced sensation and pleasure during physical intimacy, particularly during intercourse. Through vaginal tightening, you can enjoy increased sensation and sensitivity to your G-spot, allowing for more passionate, fulfilling intimacy and a greater likelihood of climax from intercourse.

There is also a psychological component to Votiva treatment that can improve your sexual satisfaction. By regaining confidence in your body and feeling less insecure about the appearance of your labia, you can feel more confident in the bedroom. The ability to relax naturally lends to greater sexual pleasure and intimacy.

Who Is a Candidate for Votiva?

Nearly any woman who is suffering from vaginal laxity, mild urinary incontinence, vaginal dryness, or decreased sexual function can benefit from Votiva. There are a few women who may need to pursue other procedures, including women who:

  • Have electric implants, like cardiac pacemakers or internal defibrillators.
  • Have had surgery or implants in the treatment area within the last six to 12 months.
  • Have a history of herpes, skin cancer, or genital cancer in the treatment area.
  • Have an untreated, debilitating condition like cardiac disease, diabetes, or an autoimmune disease.
  • Are pregnant or nursing.
"The treatment is painless, and you are up and running when it's over. I see and feel the difference after the first treatment. It's easy from the time you make the appointment, to when the procedure is over. Would definitely recommend the office and the procedure."

What to Expect With Votiva

Most of our patients choose to have their first Votiva treatment on the same day as their initial consultation. We will take special steps to create a welcoming environment for each woman in our care:

  • Votiva treatments are performed in our procedure room, where we can offer a selection of music and other amenities to help pass the time. Many women catch up on emails or finish a favorite podcast during their procedure.
  • A session will take about thirty minutes and is not painful.
  • Following Votiva treatment, patients can resume their normal activities without any necessary ice packs or ointments. The only restriction is to avoid submerging in hot water for two days.
  • As with any non-invasive procedure, there is a small chance of side effects after treatment, such as soreness, swelling, or bruising, but this is rare and usually resolves within a few days.

We will typically schedule the second and third sessions before the patient leaves at the end of her first session. Three months after the third session, women can expect the treated areas to look and feel firmer.

Treated labial skin should have less laxity, and patients who have an internal treatment in their vaginal canal and vaginal opening should have improved sensation and feel more friction during intimacy. A single annual retreatment will help patients maintain the benefits of Votiva.

When Will I See the Results?

Most sessions are spaced four to six weeks apart, and some patients report noticing results almost instantly. For others, it can take 12 weeks or so to really notice a significant change. It all depends on your personal needs and desired outcome.

Those with milder skin laxity are likely to see results faster. If you have moderate to severe skin laxity, then it will take several treatments to fully tighten the area. That being said, you’ll still notice improvements with each session!

Votiva Treatment Goals

During the initial consultation, our nursing staff will discuss your concerns and treatment goals. With over 1,500 treatments performed, our practice has helped many patients set realistic expectations and determine if Votiva is right for them.

For those considering vaginal tightening, Dr. Brady may perform a physical exam to assess the degree of vaginal relaxation. She will recommend either Votiva or a surgical option, such as vaginoplasty or labiaplasty, based on the findings. For example, Votiva is more effective for mild to moderate vaginal laxity, while those with severe laxity may benefit from surgical tightening, as Votiva improves skin laxity but does not address pelvic floor muscles.

Patients seeking a more youthful vaginal aesthetic may consider Votiva or the Vampire Wing Lift®, which uses JUVÉDERM® and growth factor injections to enhance the labia’s shape and volume. For patients wanting to address discoloration, Intimate Bleaching may be a better option.

Women who want to enhance sexual function can combine Votiva with treatments like the O-Shot or hormone therapy. Those seeking non-surgical solutions for incontinence may benefit from Votiva alongside PRP injections and pelvic floor physical therapy.

How Long Do Votiva Results Last?

Most patients report the lasting effects of treatment for up to 18 months. Afterward, follow-up sessions can ensure you are able to maintain the same level of overall vagina health. For patients who are receiving Votiva to address urinary incontinence or vaginal dryness, Dr. Brady will monitor your symptoms and recommend a treatment schedule to manage them.

Can Votiva Be Combined with Other Treatments?
