As women age, the effects of time, as well as pregnancy, childbirth and/or menopause can damage vaginal and vulvar tissues, causing concerns ranging from vaginal laxity with reduced sexual sensation to overactive bladder and urinary incontinence. To help restore vaginal tissue and address these issues, Women’s Wellness Institute of Dallas is pleased to offer Morpheus8 V treatments.
How Does Morpheus8 V Work?
Morpheus8 V combines microneedling techniques and radiofrequency energy to help promote collagen and elastin production to restore and rejuvenate vaginal and vulvar tissue.
During microneedling, tissue is treated with tiny, sterile needles that create microinjuries in the tissue. This stimulates a healing response from the body, which increases production of collagen and elastin, resulting in a firmer, more elastic vagina and vulva.
In a similar fashion, targeting tissue with radiofrequency waves provokes the body to increase collagen production, which helps to tighten and restore vaginal and vulvar tissue. This tightening of the vaginal canal strengthens the anterior vaginal wall, helping to lift the bladder and urethra, dramatically improving urinary incontinence.
Avoid Bladder Mesh Surgery
Morpheus8 V, an FDA indicated technology developed over the last 20 years, offers patients a less invasive, non-surgical option for vaginal rejuvenation – with minimal downtime. Morpheus8 V delivers targeted, precise energy to treat urinary incontinence, allowing many women to avoid a bladder mesh surgery under general anesthesia.
A series of three Morpheus8 V treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart is recommended for best results. Each treatment begins with topical numbing and lasts 30 minutes. Optimal benefits are seen three months after the third treatment. The only restrictions are for 48 hours after treatment patients should avoid soaking in hot water and abstain from intercourse.
Combined with VTone and Votiva on the Empower platform by InMode, Moprhues8 V provides the most aggressive non-surgical option to treat female urinary incontinence to date. This permits women the opportunity to manage their urinary leaking with an easy in-office procedure, and to avoid a bladder mesh surgery with all the potential surgical complications including mesh erosion, scarring and painful intercourse for both partners.
"After my Morpheus8 V treatments for urinary incontinence and bladder problems I can enjoy my life again without always worrying where the closest bathroom is."
