How Effective is BioTE?

BioTE is a form of hormone replacement therapy that relies on naturally-occurring sources of estrogen and testosterone to create what is known as “bioidentical” hormones. Bioidentical hormones mimic the body’s natural hormones to combat decreased hormone levels occurring in menopausal and post-menopausal women, leveling them out until the patient’s hormone levels are balanced and healthy. The application of bioidentical hormones in hormone replacement therapy is known as bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, or BHRT.
While no form of BHRT is FDA-approved as it is all-natural, Bioidentical Hormones can be just as effective as the majority of FDA-approved hormone therapies (HT) on the market, oftentimes with less serious risks and increased preventative benefits for conditions commonly associated with onset menopause, such as breast cancer, heart disease, and Alzheimer’s disease.

How BioTE Can Help You During Menopause

Gently inserted under the patient’s skin, BioTE pellets release a concentrated dose of hormones into the patient’s bloodstream, where they are then carried and distributed to other parts of the body.
The hormone release from BioTE pellets occurs twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week, ensuring that patients receive a potent dose of hormones for a period of approximately three to six months in length.
Like most forms of hormone replacement therapy, BioTE can be extremely effective in treating common issues resulting from imbalanced hormones. Many patients seeking HT or BHRT treatments complain of symptoms such as decreased libido, night sweats, mood swings, lack of sleep, fatigue, unusual weight gain, decreased mental focus, anxiety, irritability, and depression. BioTE treats these symptoms and is particularly renowned for its effectiveness in increasing energy levels and libido—two of the most common concerns posed by menopause.
BioTE’s treatment process is also much more convenient for most patients than a typical HT treatment. HT treatments commonly come in the form of shots and creams that need to be given or reapplied on a daily or weekly basis, adding up to tens to hundreds of doses per year that can cost quite a bit of money to maintain. In comparison, BioTE pellets need only be inserted into a patient’s skin two to four times per year.
