We all have things we’d like to improve about ourselves. It’s how we evolve and grow as individuals. Every single day we have patients come to us seeking cosmetic vaginal procedures and each woman has come to our office looking for answers. And sometimes the answers we give aren’t just clinical opinions; they go beyond the operating table.
The reasons why women seek cosmetic vaginal surgery often include wanting to gain a boost in confidence. While that’s perfectly within reason, we also advocate that before seeking cosmetic procedures, work on your self-image and start to love yourself!
We hate to sound like your mother, but you have to feel good to look good. We as women understand that it’s easy to get bogged down about the things we don’t like about ourselves. A great jumping off point in the journey of self-love is to work on how we feel inside before we work on the outside. Take some time every single day to reflect on the positive. What are some of your strengths? What physical traits do you like about yourself? Write them down! Every day look in the mirror and say one great thing about yourself. Think about what makes you so awesome! If you can’t think of something to say, then it might be time to seek out other resources such as a therapist to help improve self-esteem before undergoing surgery.
Really feeling self-love before pursuing cosmetic procedures is important because it signifies that you are truly ready and committing to the procedure for YOU and because you want to show yourself some love and improve on the fabulous female that you already are.
Once you’ve committed to self-love, it’s time to talk about which procedure you’ve been considering. Whether it be labiaplasty to improve the appearance of the labia, vaginal rejuvenation to improve vaginal relaxation, or the MonaLisa Touch to address issues with vaginal dryness and/or painful intercourse, a consultation with Dr. Wesley Anne Brady can help clarify your needs and identify what treatment or procedure will help achieve your goals. The answer isn’t always which procedure you should have; sometimes it needs to be if any procedure is appropriate. Our all-female staff will help guide you through the entire process, from your initial visit to your post-operative care and beyond. Our personal and professional goal is to educate you and empower you to make the best decision for yourself.
If you’re ready to discuss your goals, please contact us for a consultation with Dr. Brady. We’d love to help you love yourself – inside and out! Now tell us – what’s once nice thing about yourself?
