As a result of childbirth, aging, or heredity, the labial skin around a woman’s vaginal opening may begin to sag. Her vaginal opening and canal may also widen, and its tissue may become lax. These changes can affect a woman’s comfort, confidence in her appearance, and ability to enjoy intimacy.
ThermiVa® is a non-surgical technology that encourages collagen development, which leads to naturally tighter skin and tissue. ThermiVa is a non-invasive, non-hormonal treatment that uses temperature-controlled radiofrequency energy to gently heat intimate tissue and was cleared by the FDA in 2013. Dr. Brady frequently provides ThermiVa treatments for women in North Texas who have mild to moderate laxity in the labia, clitoral hood, and vagina. The goal is to give these patients a more compact, youthful appearance, improved comfort, and increased sensation during sex. Mild urinary incontinence and overactive bladder are treated as well as orgasmic dysfunction.
The cost for the ThermiVa procedure can range from $800-$3000, which will be determined during your consultation with Dr. Brady and her experienced team.

Get a Tighter Vagina and a Younger Appearance Without Surgery
ThermiVa Vaginal Rejuvenation delivers radiofrequency (RF) energy through a thin and flexible medical applicator. The energy gently heats the tissue and encourages the development of collagen. Over time, treated tissue takes on a firmer, plumper, and more elastic quality.

Treatment with ThermiVa is:
- Very safe, well-established, and non-invasive. Patients can return to their normal activities immediately after their visit to Women’s Wellness Institute of Dallas.
- Fast and easy. Each ThermiVa session will take about one half-hour. Most patients say that the experience doesn’t hurt at all and feels more like a hot stone massage than a medical treatment.
- Low commitment. Our initial, internal statistics show that 92% of our patients are happy with their results. Since there will be no restrictions or pain following the visit, there’s limited downside to getting ThermiVa.
The ideal protocol includes three ThermiVa treatments, each spaced four to six weeks apart. Most women will see the optimal improvement three months after their final session. The benefits of ThermiVa will last about twelve months, and patients will typically come back once a year for a single treatment to maintain their results.
How ThermiVa® Works
ThermiVa® treatments use radiofrequency energy to gently heat tissue to rejuvenate collagen, without discomfort or downtime.
Why Women Choose ThermiVa
Dr. Brady and her expert staff may recommend ThermiVa to women in Dallas who have the following concerns:
Vaginal laxity. A woman’s vaginal opening and canal may widen after childbirth or over time. As a result, she and her partner may experience decreased sensation during sex. The vagina may make unwanted noises during sex and exercise due to uncontrolled airflow (queefing), and women may feel a general sense of looseness and decreased sexual gratification. ThermiVa can improve these symptoms in the appropriate patient candidate with mild to moderate vaginal relaxation.
Loose labial skin. As a result of genetics or aging the labia minora (inner lips) and the labia majora (outer lips) can hang and sag causing discomfort and interfering with clothing choices and/or activities. Women choose ThermiVa as a non-surgical option for firming up the skin around the vaginal opening. This can give the outer labia majora a more youthful and compact appearance and also improve a woman’s comfort when wearing form-fitting clothes or during sex and other physical activity.
Vaginal Dryness. As women near menopause (usually in their late forties/early fifties), their ovaries stop producing estrogen. While the hot flashes and night sweats improve with time, vaginal dryness (or vaginal atrophy) may cause worsening pain with intercourse, vaginal burning or even bleeding with intercourse. ThermiVa vaginal rejuvenation improves natural lubrication to address all of these complaints. Using ThermiVa women are able to avoid hormone replacement therapy if they choose and the exposure to potential dangerous side effects such as breast cancer, heart attack and stroke.
Orgasmic Dysfunction. Age and decreasing hormone levels can negatively impact the intensity, and even the attainment, of sexual climax. ThermiVa vaginal rejuvenation causes vaginal tissue to produce new collagen, nerves and blood vessels in the G spot and clitoris. According to a 2013 study, “These changes can have a significant impact on sexual health and wellness. Patients report improvement in satisfaction with their ability to achieve orgasm following treatment.”
An increasing number of medical practices are offering offering ThermiVa Vaginal Rejuvenation because it is a gentle and predictable technology with multiple significant benefits for patients. ThermiVa works best for women who have mild to moderate laxity in their tissue. Patients with severe vaginal relaxation or labial laxity are usually better candidates for surgical management.
Women’s Wellness Institute of Dallas is the only physician-led practice in the city that specializes in sexual health and cosmetic gynecology. As a result of Dr. Brady’s expertise and experience, her team can help patients understand whether ThermiVa is likely to provide the results they desire or guide them to a more effective treatment such as vaginoplasty or labiaplasty surgery.
I’ll admit. I was a little on the fence, but after reading the reviews, and a little push from a close friend dealing with the same issues, we decided to get it done and go through the procedure together. She is from Dallas and did all of the research on who we needed to go to in order to get the best care.
First, we received an exam, in which we actually saw Dr. Brady. The exam was a normal gynecological exam and took all of 8-10 minutes. She confirmed that we were both great candidates and introduced us to the nurse who would be performing the procedure. I decided to go first since I’m a bit of a chicken. The nurse explained everything beforehand. I knew that it didn’t hurt from all of the reviews but again, I was a bit skeptical. The probe was very small, maybe the width of a nickel. The probe was comfortably warm, but not hot and at one point I felt it was getting hot as she was going over one particular area repeatedly. I told her and she turned the control down. Doing the outer labia was extremely comfortable and I’d even call it relaxing. I literally talked to the nurse and my friend the entire time. I even sent text messages and checked instagram. No pain or discomfort at all. My biggest advice would be to make sure your bladder is empty immediately before the procedure. My husband was away for about a week after I had it done and he IMMEDIATELY noticed. I could feel such a difference in the tightness and my orgasms were MIND BLOWING. Better than I’ve ever had.
The other 2 appointments were the same in which I noticed a TREMENDOUS difference in my sex life and after my last visit I caught the flu in which I was coughing badly. There was a big decrease in incontinence. It wasn’t completely gone but definitely wasn’t as bad as before the treatment. Overall, I would do it again in a heartbeat and definitely worth the money!
Happy Thermiva Patient
